Sun burn..........

Ouch!!! I guess we're into a full on summer sun which I totally forgot about at our market today and the sun got my neck, chest and arms!! I feel like I'm glowing and it doesn't help that one kitten thinks it's some sort of bird and is sitting (guess where) on my shoulder - uhhhm just like a birdie would. Strange!!

Well our market was not the rip roaring success I had hoped it would be, it was rather dissappointing financially. I guess everyone is holding onto their cash for now but there was loads of interest and lots of talk about gifts going on. So will be crossing fingers for next month.

As markets usually go, we end up having a great social. It is really fun meeting up with fellow 'marketeers'. We all do something different and it's fun!! Today we got to speak to a fantastic guy who came second in the World Championships for Longbow Archery. How cool is that? He also makes Longbows. Now I guess you're wondering why all the excitement over archery. Believe it or not it is something Brad is very, very keen on. He tried it once and the bug bit him. I have not been succesful in finding out much about archery or where we could take him for lessons etc. Well that problem has now been solved!! With homeschooling we want Bradley to pursue his interests. Now all I have to do is sort out the Cricket. We then have an individual sport and a team sport. I'm getting bases covered, which is a relief for me.

With our homeschooling we have really been chatting about tons of things and one of those topics was Owls and how man is destroying there natural habitat. Well guess what?? There was a crowd there who had owl boxes (that is on a one day when we're better off financially list) but it was interesting to chat with the guy.

So we may not have come away financially rich but we came away enriched with tons of new info and that made the market worth it. Weird, huh!!

Hubby and I are coming to grips with Bailey's passing. We can at least talk to each other about it - a step in the right direction. And I can remember him with smiles instead of tears.

Frumpy wumpy grumpy slumpy.........

and a TGIF!!!!

Whatever happened to days of a few cupcakes, a birthday cake (fabulous ones that Nan would make - she could put anything together), the odd sweets, the homemade sweets and treats, the ease and enjoyment of a birthday party. And why oh why am I getting myself into a knot???

It has to be right, it has to be perfect or else!! I nearly blew a gasket last night when I saw the attempt at the school cake. I was like - you got to be kidding right. We discussed this right. You did understand me right. I had hoped being the voice of reason and saying that the cakes should just be ordered would be fine but no, hubby knows better. Thank goodness children don't see the faults we do and he loved the cake. My blood was/is still boiling!!!

Don't you just love that ABBA song....'Money, money, money..........must be funny, in a rich man's world' . I've decided I'm decidedly poor. I hate it, I don't like it and I don't want to be here. My brave facade is gone...............hot tears seem to constantly pour down my face. I want to hide in a shell, I'd love to cancel Sunday - no people around. But that is what I want - not what my poor Angel wants.

I am tired of the 'we will make a plan'!!! I am tired of making a square shape squish through a round shape. It's impossible. I am tired of staring at my petrol guage!! It seems to be more in the orange lately and border line empty than anywhere else on the guage.

Yesterday, I found some very very negative blogs regarding South Africa. It broke my heart. Is this the country I live in - a country I am raising my boys in. Needless to say those blogs scared me shitless. I was paranoid - every noise, every alarm and I was on full alert. Is it that bad, I keep asking myself.

Every second it is on my mind. It's been a month and I haven't really played with glass. Yes, I've melted some but out of necessity more than enjoyment. My Etsy shop has stayed the same for over a month now. Nothing new - nobody looking. I used to work on it everyday, now I'm lucky if I happen to check on it a few times a week or only if someone convo's me.

Okay, yep I'm certifiable. Let's find the straight jacket and put it on. But it is not the solution - I need to melt glass, get that Etsy operating fully and try my best.

I miss my Nan right now - she would sort out this birthday party in a blink of an eye. The cake would be perfect....and everything would be just right.

But there is hope, because through all of it I can manage to laugh and smile. Now before Elaine offers me some cheese to go with my whine. LOL My Mamma Bear!!! Let me get something positive done.

Pan decides to take a major stroll on a major road this morning

This equates to me having heart failure and tears!!!

Something just didn't quite feel right this morning. My gut says to me 'just check on the dogs'. I can only see three. I call for Pan, nothing!! No bouncing retriever running up to me. I'm trying not to panic. Do a quick search of the property. No Pan!!! I'm really panicking now. Phone hubby who has gone to dump rubbish and tell him that Pan has gone MIA. I fear the worst.

While I'm yelling for her, a flying squad car with two officers inside stop and I run to the gate. He asks me if I have misplaced a golden lab and I tell him yes. He says not to worry he has her in the car. I could have kissed him. Hubby drove up shortly after that. My nerves are fried and if we starve this month that is what will happen to make sure my dogs are secure in the property. I'm also spitting mad as I have now discovered the electric fence is not working and the dogs are pushing there way through it. So much for that.

I am going to try and have a stress free day. But how does one do shopping with 4 dogs tailing along because they don't now how to behave.

So feel for me please. I have no toilet paper, no tissues and NO DECENT COFFEE!!! My sinuses are acting up. Guess it is time to try that suggestion and just take the plunge and buy the sinus clearing magaffie.

Did I even tell you the best news. Hubby has messed up my bearings again. Surely they will cease at some stage and you know what. I really couldn't give a #$@**. No car = no getting kids to school = no going no where and that is just fine by me.

Okay so I am probably ranting and raving unnecessarily but we are Pan's guardians - and I just don't know what I would do if something happened to her. Everything is so new to them especially horses and everyone is out on a morning ride this morning. I am now trying to keep a handle on 4 dogs, 4 cats and the rats and the guinea's are not even here yet. Oh boy!!!
