A trip to zoo

What a way to say goodbye to 2007 but with a family picnic at the zoo. We had fun, hired a buggy (it was hot) and 5 or so hours later we still didn't see everything. We couldn't find those elusive leopards - now which direction were they in......LOL

No happy pills.....

Well trying to fit in all that last minute shopping has left me arriving at the chemist too late to fill my script....and oh boy we're into day 2 of no happy pills.

How did I ever live without them..........????

Tomorrow morning I'll be the first in the door. Or I'm on a flight to timbucktoo....

The presents are under the tree. Wondering will what I have bought be acceptable or not. Have I done the right thing. Is there too much, too little....

My eternal wish...to be the Perfect Mom and I find myself lacking.....

Josh's Christmas Party

It was Josh's nursery school concert and Christmas Party on Saturday. He had lots of fun and surprised us all.

Unfortunately I missed it all as I had to be at a morning market. Thank goodness for video cameras and cameras and super special daddy's.

A meaningful Christmas......

Two nights ago a very special friend passed away. His wife (Lynn), daughter (Julie) and grand-daughter (Paige) are very special to me and my family. I had so hoped he would be with us for Christmas, to hang on that bit longer but it was not meant to be. That same morning that Julie let me know is the same morning I had a petty argument with Anthony over Christmas and gift buying. Looking back, a very stupid fight.

I can only hope that I can teach my boys that it is in the giving that we receive. That it is not about how many presents are under the tree but what is under the tree. That there are others for whom Christmas is just another day. And that above everything else being with the ones you love is the most important gift of all......

Any thoughts, I'd love to hear them.......

Splat!!
